We are thrilled that you have decided to join one of our awe-inspiring birding tours to Colombia. Please take into consideration the following Terms and Conditions before signing-up for your tour:

Cancellation and refund

1.If you need to cancel your tour before the balance is due, full deposit will be refunded.
2.If you need to cancel after paying the balance but within 2 months prior to the beginning of the tour, the tour price minus deposit will be refunded.
3.After that, no refund applies but you can apply all funds for a future tour with Icaro Birding.

Trip insurance

We strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance to cover your investment in case of injury, illness or some other unexpected event which forces you to cancel. In addition, we strongly recommend that you obtain emergency medical insurance that covers expenses resulting from accidental injury or illness during the tour.

We do include a basic travel insurance with your tour that covers the expenses related in the table below up to the amounts there specified.

Medical Information: Participation on an Icaro Birding Tour requires that you are in generally good health, are able to complete walks of 2-4 hours duration and are able to meet the tour’s schedule. Persons with medical problems or dietary restrictions must make them known to us well in advance of the tour. Icaro Birding has the authority to disqualify any participant, without refund or further obligation, if they do not follow the recommendations of the leader or if the tour leader feels that the individual’s continued participation will jeopardize the wellbeing or enjoyment of the individual or group.

You have the responsibility to get immunizations to protect you from diseases or illness that may exist in the places you will be visiting on tour. Icaro Birding has given general guidelines or diseases that might be present, but we urge you to consult your doctor and or Travel Immunization Clinic before you go.

Image Usage: During our tours we may take photos or video for promotional purposes. If you do not want us to use photos or videos that include you, please let us know in advance.

Risks inherent to adventure travel and Our Responsibility to You:

Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you appreciate the possible risks inherent in adventure travel and that undertaking our tours is your own decision. Icaro Birding and the tour operators it works with, place ultimate importance on the safety of its clients. It is important, however, that you realize that you are responsible for making yourself aware of the risks involved, and are responsible for making your decisions accordingly.

  1. Icaro Birding shall not be liable for any delays, deviations or omissions from any tour caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, nor for any direct or indirect consequences thereto.
  2. Icaro Birding shall not be liable to compensate you for associated expenses incurred as a result of your booking.
  3. Icaro Birding only acts as agent for the owners, contractors, suppliers of transportation and local operators/agents, and/or other related travel services provided and assumes no liability or responsibility for additional expenses howsoever caused arising directly or indirectly from the actions or omissions of such independent parties, accidents, loss or damage to person or property, delays, transport failures, strikes, war, force majeure, Acts of God etc., over which it has no control.
  4. Arrangements so made by Icaro Birding will be subject to any special terms imposed by the supplier of these services.
  5. Icaro Birding accepts no liability for any action or activity undertaken by you arranged independently of Icaro Birding while on tour.
  6. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you possess all the required travel documentation for your tour (passports, visas, etc.)

Release of All Claims:

In return for Icaro Birding agreeing to take you on this tour, by completing the registration form you agree that in advance of your tour you personally, and on behalf of your heirs, beneficiaries and assigns are releasing Icaro Birding from any claims for any loss, damage, expense, injury or injury causing death to you that occurs while you are on tour with Icaro Birding.

That applies to any claims you may have against Icaro Birding for personal injury to or death of a spouse, companion or child, or for any financial or economic losses you have as a result of anything that happens while you are on a tour. All of this also applies regardless of how, why or where such loss, damage, injury, death or damage to property was caused, and whether it was foreseeable or not, or whether it was direct or indirect. This release also applies to Icaro Birding’s agents, employees, shareholders, directors and subcontractors.
